I was supposed to have a meeting that would be a circle where I’d get different opinions and experiences from different people; however, at the last minute, four of them canceled, and one of them didn’t show up. Still, I understand this is part of the process and that things like this happen a lot. I was very fortunate, and two of them agreed to meet tomorrow. Still, since I am dealing with such a vulnerable group, I understand that these are things that are bound to happen sometimes. I want to make sure I am being respectful; however, it is frustrating because I had been planning it for a week. They had already confirmed, so when people canceled at the last minute, it was frustrating, but I am still going to continue. I will keep working to make sure my interventions continue and that I am doing what I am supposed to do in my research. It is hard to get people to speak to me in the first place, so when I find a group and set a time, it is still difficult. Still, I will continue and persevere through this process. This happens to a lot of people, especially during field study.
